History
In the summer of 2023 the park on Marine Dr., between Irving and Buena Ave., experienced unprecedented abuse. Neighbors living on Marine Dr. and adjacent areas of Buena Park witnessed public drug usage, public alcohol consumption, human waste and numerous illegal and unsafe conditions in public park space. A small group of neighbors reached out to our elected officials asking for help. In return we only received excuses and complacency.
We then arranged for a public meeting of concerned neighbors to organize our efforts. Through our large group organization and group efforts, we were able to initiate action from our elected officials. Our park was cleaned up after many months of the issue being brought to our elected official’s attention through detailed emails and photos.
We continue to advocate for safe, clean and accessible park space for everyone in our community. Our work has just begun, and we need as much help as possible. Please reach out if you would like to volunteer.
